Dawgs force a Game 4 in Edmonton with win

Edmonton, AB...The Dawgs have defeated the Edmonton Prospects by a score of 6-3 and will force a game 4 tomorrow night.

The offence was lead by Elliot Cary (Oregon State) who went 4-5 with a RBI thanks to his 2nd solo home run of the series. Other top performers included Kellen Marruffo (University of Utah) who went 3-5 with 2 stolen bases and an RBI and Josh McIntyre (Everette Community College) going 2-4 with a walk.

On the mound the Dawgs got a strong performance out of Liam Stroud (Niagara University) who went 7 innings allowing 1 earned run while striking out 8 Prospects. Tyler Burdett (Dixie State University) came into pitch the final 2 innings allowing 2 runs and striking out 2.

The Dawgs will look to avoid elimination once again as they play the Prospects Wednesday night at Telus Field, first pitch is scheduled for 7:05pm. If the Dawgs win they will return to Seaman Stadium Thursday night for the final game of the series where the winner will take on the Medicine Hat Mavericks in the Western Conference Finals.
