Okotoks Dawgs are pleased to announce that Dr. Cory Wowk will be joining the program as Team Physician.
Dr. Wowk is a Sports Medicine Physician/ General Practitioner from Calgary, Alberta who brings considerable sports medical expertise to the Dawgs program.
Dr. Wowk completed his medical studies at the University of Calgary and has been practicing medicine in Calgary for the past 10 years. He currently splits his work time with the Calgary Fire Department as well as with the orthopedic surgeons at the Rocky View and Peter Lougheed Hospitals. Dr. Wowk brings the Dawgs invaluable experience as a sports team physician, most notably with the Hockey Canada Men's World Championship Under 18 team in 2016 and the Hockey Canada Men's World Under 17 teams in 2014. He also has attended a number of MLB team medical conferences.
Cory is an avid baseball fan and is excited to join the Okotoks Dawgs as Team Physician and work in conjunction with Athletic Therapists, Laura Redgate and Savannah Blakley.
