Okotoks, AB – Game-one of the scheduled three-game set between the Okotoks Dawgs and visiting Regina Red Sox got called off during the top of the SIXTH inning following flashes of lightning before ensuing flooding of rain forced the umpire crew to postpone the game.
Tomorrow, Friday, June 28th will see the Dawgs and Red Sox start fresh with game-two set for 7:05 p.m.
Game-one will resume with the same circumstances, just before the game was waved off.
Regina was leading the game 2-1, putting a run up in the cancelled sixth inning. Officially, the Red Sox had two outs on the board with runners on the corners. The current at bat saw an 0-1 count.
Game-one will resume on SATURDAY afternoon at 4:05 p.m., right before the scheduled third game at 7:05 p.m.
