Why Core 4 (+14) Corner?
The name Core 4 (+14) Corner is a homage to the original Dawgs Youth Team that dates back to the mid-1990s and rose from relative baseball obscurity to become one of the preeminent youth teams in the country and on either side of the border. As Dawgs managing director, John Ircandia has explained:
“The reality is that without that original Dawgs team which played from 1996 through the millennium, there would be no Seaman Stadium, no Dawgs Summer Collegiate Team and no Dawgs Baseball Academy. The passion that was the foundation of all that we now enjoy, came from the hard work, dedication and commitment of those original Dawgs”.
