OKOTOKS, AB – OKOTOKS DAWGS RELEASE 2021 WCBL SCHEDULE
Okotoks Dawgs Baseball Club has released its schedule for the 2021 season of the Western Canadian Baseball League (“WCBL”), Canada’s premier summer collegiate circuit. With increasing optimism regarding a pending vaccine, the Dawgs anticipate an exciting return of the boys of summer. The Dawgs are defending WCBL Champions.
The 2021 schedule features 56 regular season games, 28 scheduled for the friendly confines of Seaman Stadium where the Dawgs last captured the WCBL Championship. At the conclusion of the regular season, top teams in Alberta and Saskatchewan will battle in best of 3 playoff series culminating in the 2021 WCBL Championship.
Highlights of the 2021 Dawgs season include historical sell outs such as:
* HOME OPENER SERIES on Friday, May 28 and Saturday, May 29 against the Brooks Bombers and Sunday, May 30 against the WCBL’s newest franchise, the Sylvan Lake Gulls;
* FATHERS’ DAY SERIES on Saturday, June 19 and Sunday June 20 against the Moose Jaw Miller Express;
* CANADA DAY SERIES on Thursday, July 1st (with Fireworks!) and Friday, July 2 against the Edmonton Prospects, continuing through Saturday, July 3 against the Lethbridge Bulls;
* 2021 WCBL ALL-STAR GAME on Saturday, July 24. The All Star Game will feature numerous exciting events for Dawgs fans including a Home Run Derby. First pitch for the All Star Game will go at 7:05 PM when the best of the East challenges the best of the West.
Dawgs are also excited to introduce fans to the all-new, CORE 4 (+14) CORNER, an iconic section of hospitality patios and phenomenal “Top of the World” seating along the left field corner that will remind fans of the Green Monster at Fenway Park in Boston.

About Okotoks Dawgs Baseball:
The Dawgs are a non-profit organization that began in 1995 as an elite youth development program in Calgary, AB. The Dawgs currently offer 7 high performance youth teams from ages 13 to 18 years that have won multiple provincial, national and Perfect Game championships as well as a highly successful summer collegiate club that has won 6 WCBL championships. The collegiate Dawgs are currently ranked 1st in Canada and 3rd in North America in attendance, averaging almost 4000 fans per game. The Dawgs home is the Seaman Stadium Complex, a $22M, state of the art facility featuring 2 stadiums, 4 diamonds and outdoor and indoor training centers. Several Dawgs players have played for Team Canada, NCAA and NAIA universities and colleges, and been drafted by Major League Baseball organizations.
