OKOTOKS, AB- Dawgs & WCBL Release 2022 Official Schedule

Okotoks Dawgs Baseball Club of the Western Canadian Baseball League, Canada’s premier summer collegiate league, is pleased to release its 2022 WCBL Schedule. 2022 promises to be an exciting season as the WCBL  officially returns to full operations, including a renewal of all the community rivalries from franchises across Alberta and Saskatchewan and the return of premier U.S. and Canadian college players. YES, the “boys of summer” will be back in full force in the summer of 2022!! 

2022 Schedule Highlights: The 2022 WCBL Season will feature a full 56-game regular season schedule followed by 3 rounds of playoffs culminating in a WCBL Championship Series in mid-August. The Dawgs will play 28 home games at beautiful Seaman Stadium in Okotoks. Some key home dates include:

Opening Weekend: 

• Friday May 27 @ 7:05 PM Dawgs vs Brooks
• Saturday May 28 @ 7:05 PM Dawgs vs Brooks
• Sunday May 29 @ 2:05 PM Dawgs vs Sylvan Lake

Fathers’ Day Feature Game

• Sunday June 19 @ 2:05 PM Dawgs vs Moose Jaw

Canada Day Weekend featuring “Fireworks!”

• Friday July 1st  @ 7:05 PM Dawgs vs Edmonton
• Saturday July 2nd @ 7:05 PM Dawgs vs Lethbridge

WCBL All-star Game with Featured Baseball Celebrities and “Fireworks!”

Saturday July 23rd @ 7:05 PM

Dawgs Host Teams participating in the Canadian Little League Championships

• Wednesday August 3rd @ 7:05 PM Dawgs vs Lethbridge

Dawgs recruit top collegiate talent: With the Canada/US border re-opened, the Dawgs will feature top Canadian and American talent including slugger Mason Guerra (Oregon State), Alex Stufft (Bellevue, NEB), and returning All-stars Ricardo Sanchez (Barton CC, Kansas), Graham Brunner (Illinois State) and Matt Wilkinson (Central Arizona).
