The Dawgs are pleased to welcome back three key pieces from the 2022 championship season- Micah McDowell (OF, Oregon State University), Cade Herrmann (RHP, Western Illinois University) and Brady Baltus (RHP, Linn-Benton CC).
Micah McDowell – Outfield, Oregon State University
The Dawgs team MVP during their record breaking 2022 championship returns to patrol the outfield once again in 2023. During the regular season, McDowell scored 30 runs while hitting .381 with 6 doubles, 3 triples & 2 home runs with 24 RBI in 34 games played. Look for McDowell to make a similar impact in 2023!
Cade Herrmann – RHP, Western Illinois University
Herrmann was outstanding out of the bullpen during the 2022 season. In 20 appearances, Herrmann pitched 22.1 innings with a stingy 0.80 ERA while collecting 10.9 K/IP. With Herrmann being another stronger and more experienced, look for him to be an integral part of the Dawgs staff in 2023!
Brady Baltus – RHP, Linn-Benton Community College
Coming off a solid freshman season with Coach Andy Peterson at Linn-Benton, Baltus was a solid piece of the starting rotation for the Dawgs in 2022. Baltus notched 8 starts and pitched 37.1 innings with a respectable 1.30 WHIP. Look for Baltus to make a jump this year as he returns to Okotoks to help the Dawgs run it back!
Welcome back, Dawgs!
