The Okotoks Dawgs are pleased to announce that Bobby Vath (RHP, LSU-Shreveport) will return for 2023. Other new player signings include Luke Dickson (RHP, Paradise Valley CC) and Trent Lenihan (INF/OF, University of British Columbia).
Bobby Vath – RHP, LSU Shreveport
Vath was a staple in the Dawgs rotation during the 2022 championship season. In 6 game started during 2022, Vath went 4-1 with a 2.75 ERA in 36 innings pitched. Currently in his sophomore year with the Pilots, Vath is 7-1 with a 1.82 ERA in 8 games started. Look for Vath to have another impact season with the Dawgs this summer!
Luke Dickson – RHP, Paradise Valley Community College
Dickson is a relief pitcher for the Paradise Valley Community College Pumas in Arizona. Currently in his sophomore season, Dickson has made 19 appearances while logging 19.2 innings pitched with 14 strikeouts and 3.20 ERA. Dickson will bolster an already deep pitching staff for the Dawgs in 2023.
Trent Lenihan – INF | OF, University of British Columbia
Lenihan is a physical corner infielder at 6’4 225 lbs that will add some power and versatility with his ability to play outfield in a pinch. So far in his sophomore season with the Thunderbirds, Lenihan is batting .281 with 12 doubles, 1 triple, 1 home run and 25 RBI.
