Dawgs Dominance Continues vs Bombers
Final Score: Dawgs 15, Bombers 4
The Okotoks Dawgs delivered a dominant performance on Canada Day, dismantling the Brooks Bombers 15-4 at home. The Dawgs’ offense struck early and kept applying pressure throughout the game, tallying runs in six different innings and piling up 16 hits overall. Okotoks pulled away with a huge six-run seventh inning, while their pitching staff effectively shut the door in the later innings to secure the blowout win.
Trey Mackwood (Panola State Community College) anchored the Dawgs defensively. He stepped in as a late-game substitution and closed things out on the mound. Offensively, Connor Crowson (University of Montevallo) was a force in the heart of the lineup, getting on base and scoring multiple times during the Dawgs’ explosive middle innings. Nash Crowell was also on fire, creating offence and driving in runs.
The Dawgs’ bullpen kept things clean when it mattered. After starter Brady Baltus (New Mexico State University) handed off the game, the relievers allowed minimal damage, helping Okotoks maintain their lead and shut down any potential rally from Brooks. With strong performances across the board, the Dawgs improved their positioning in their West Division lead and continued to show consistency heading into the heart of the season.
The Dawgs now look ahead to their next matchup, tomorrow Wednesday, July 2, right at home, where they will face the Brooks Bombers once again at 7:05.
