What an unforgettable night at Seaman Stadium! We kicked off our Christmas in July event with a festive atmosphere, and guess who made a surprise appearance? That’s right—Santa Claus! With all that Christmas spirit in the air, the Dawgs delivered a dazzling win over the Bombers, showcasing an incredible team effort!
The Dawgs’ offence was nothing short of explosive! Leo Cote (University of Portland) and Jake Skaggs (Pittsburg State University) lit up the scoreboard with their incredible solo home runs, and both players also racked up 2 RBI’s on their way to victory! Eric Machej (Illinois State University) contributed solidly, going 1 for 2 and getting hit by a pitch not once, but twice—talk about resilience!
On the mound, the Dawgs' pitching staff truly shone! Ryan Rembisz (University of Portland) made his Seaman Stadium debut with flair, throwing 4 innings while striking out 5, giving up no runs and just 2 hits! Ashton Luera (Oklahoma Wesleyan University) made an impressive entrance to the 2025 season, striking out 2 in just one inning of work! Reid Madariaga (Seattle University) also made his debut, tossing an inning with zero hits, zero runs, and 2 strikeouts! To top it all off, Alex Oliver (Colorado State University-Pueblo) closed the game in style with an electrifying 3 straight strikeouts! Our pitching staff put on an absolute show!
