The Okotoks Dawgs delivered a powerful offensive performance to beat the Brooks Bombers 17-2. After rainy conditions in Brooks led to a venue change, loyal Okotoks fans made it to Seaman Stadium to see the Dawgs record another win on their home soil. The Dawgs posted another high-scoring performance, collecting 18 hits and playing errorless defence once again.

The Dawgs’ strong offence was led by another outstanding performance by Turner Zdunich (Colby Community College), who went 4 for 5 at the plate with 3 runs, 1 RBI, 1 stolen base and 1 walk. Landon Kauffman (University of Portland) was another major contributor to the offensive output, going 2 for 3 with 2 runs, 3 RBI, 2 stolen bases and 2 walks.

Jeremy Kuiper (University of Louisiana) delivered an excellent all-around performance, finishing 4 for 5 at the plate with two runs, a home run, and three RBI, while also recording a diving catch in the field.

Okotoks product Brody Forno (Campbellsville University) set the tone on the mound with a strong 5-inning performance, allowing only two runs while striking out three. Jerome Pare (Central Arizona Community College) and Grady Keljo (University of Portland) closed out the game effectively, combining for 3.0 scoreless innings while limiting the Bombers to just one hit.

The Dawgs’ lights-out pitching and relentless offence sealed the game as they recorded their second mercy rule win of the season. They now turn their attention to their next home matchup tomorrow, June 5, when they host the Bombers at 7:05 p.m. Friday also marks the first-ever Bingo Night at Seaman Stadium, featuring fun in-game activities for fans throughout the night.
