A crowd of 3,411 fans came out to support the Dawgs as they opened the West Finals at home and battled until the final out.</p>\n<p>Logan Rumberg (George Mason University) opened the game on the mound for the Dawgs, pitching six innings before Jack Bello (Okotoks Dawgs Academy) took over in relief. Bello closed the game with 2.2 scoreless innings, allowing just one hit and striking out two.</p>\n<p>Cal Gates (Indiana University) led the Dawgs’ offensive effort, going three-for-four with a double, an RBI, and a stolen base.</p>\n<p>The Dawgs will look to even the series in Game 2 of the West Finals on Wednesday, August 12 at Gulls Stadium, with the game getting underway at 7:05 p.m. For tickets and team info, visit <a href=\"http://www.dawgsbaseball.ca/tickets\">www.dawgsbaseball.ca/tickets</a> or call 403-262-3294.
