The Okotoks Dawgs cruised to an 11-4 victory over the Brooks Bombers on Wednesday night, pulling away with consistent offense in the middle innings. After a quiet start, the Dawgs broke the game open with a four-run second inning and tacked on runs in nearly every frame afterward. The pitching staff held the Bombers scoreless over the final five innings to secure the win in front of the home crowd.

Connor Crowson (Tennessee Tech University) had the biggest swing of the night, blasting a grand slam and finishing with four RBIs despite just two at-bats. Ricardo Sanchez (Gonzaga University) stayed hot with a 3-for-4 performance and drove in two runs. Leo Cote (University Of Portland) also had a solid night at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two RBIs. Zane Skansi (Campbellsville University) added two hits and an RBI, while Barry Eiseman (Reinhardt University) contributed with a hit, RBI, and two walks.

On the mound, Brady Baltus (Bellevue University) got the start and gave up four runs on four hits through five innings, walking two and striking out four. The bullpen was strong from there, with Brody Forno (Campbellsville University), Chase Tucker (Campbellsville University), Reid Madariaga (Seattle University), and Ryan McFarland (Campbellsville University) combining for four scoreless innings. Madariaga and Tucker were particularly effective, each posting clean innings with multiple strikeouts.

The Okotoks Dawgs and Brooks Bombers are set to continue this West Division Semi-Finals on Thursday, August 7 in Brooks.
