The Dawgs would drop their second straight game to the Giants losing 6-3 on Saturday night. The Dawgs would have 9 hits on the evening while the pitching staff tossed 11 strikeouts. The Dawgs record sits at 36-14 with 6 games left in the regular season.

Titus Dumitru (New Mexico State, NM) and Cole Cramer (Washington State, WA) both went 2-4 at the plate. Dumitru finished the game with 2 RBI while Cramer would finish with 1 RBI. Brendan Luther (Bellevue University, NE) also had 2 hits tonight. The Dawgs scored their 3 runs courtesy of Ricky Sanchez (Lamar University, TX), Logan Grant (Bellevue University, NE) and Titus Dumitru who each scored 1 run.

Noah Geekie (Emporia State, KS) got the start on the mound and tossed 2.0 innings allowing 7 hits. The Dawgs relievers would only allow 1 run and record 8 strikeouts as a unit. Dustin Schorie (Bellevue University, NE) shut down the Giants in the ninth with 2 strikeouts.

The Dawgs will be back in action Monday July, 31st as they host the Lethbridge Bulls in a make-up game from Fathers Day which was rained out. First pitch is set for 7:05 pm.
