Okotoks, AB -  The Okotoks Dawgs defeated the Sylvan Lake Gulls 3-2 in an intense game-two matchup. The Dawgs have tied the series with the Gulls in the West Division Finals 1-1 and head to game three in Sylvan.

Ricky Sanchez (Lamar University) had a hard-hit triple in the seventh, going 1-for-2 with an RBI. Brendan Luther (Mississauga, ON) also contributed to the win, going 1-for-2 with an RBI that included a crushed double in the seventh. Finally, Alejandro Cazorla (Okotoks, AB) had an RBI tonight after a sacrifice fly in the second to put the Dawgs on the board.

Dawgs veteran Graham Brunner (Sherwood Park, AB) got the nod tonight and tossed two scoreless innings in his four innings of work but struggled to prevent the Gulls from scoring in his time on the mound. Garrett Maloney (Campbellsville University), Gavin Wuschke (Bellevue University), and Cade Herrmann (Bellevue University) stepped in for the next four innings with all four holding the Gulls scoreless. Finally, the Dawg's top closer, Ashton Luera (Oklahoma Wesleyan University) closed the night with two strikeouts, securing the Dawg's victory and taking the series to game three. 

The Dawgs will head to Sylvan Lake to take on the Gulls for a game three winner-take-all matchup in the West Division Finals.
