The Dawgs rolled right past the 57’s tonight with a convincing 12-3 win. The Dawgs had 13 hits in the win while their pitching staff was able to strikeout 11 batters in the win. With the victory tonight the Dawgs extend their winning streak as they move to 21-5 on the season and remain first in the west division.

Cesar Valero (Sacramento State University, CA) got the offence rolling tonight in the second inning with a sac fly scoring one of his three total RBI on the evening. Nash Crowell (Linn-Benton CC, OR) would smash his team-leading 5th homerun on the season in the same inning finishing the night 3 for 4. Elijah Hammill (University of Utah, UT) would go 2 for 5, scoring 3 RBI on a triple in the bottom of the 8th. Canon Reeder (Oregon State University) would go 2 for 4 scoring 3 RBI to help extend the winning streak for the Dawgs.

Bobby Vath (LSU Shreveport, LS) would go 5 innings allowing only 1 run on 4 hits allowed, while striking out 5 in the win. The Dawgs bullpen would continue the strong pitching performance and shut down the 57’s offence allowing 2 runs on 3 hits.

The Dawgs welcome the Brooks Bombers to Seaman Stadium tomorrow for the dawgs annual Canada Day game, with opening pitch set for 7:05pm. The Dawgs are set to hit the road for 7 games starting on Monday July 3rd in Medicine Hat to take on the Mavricks, opening pitched scheduled for 7:05pm.
