The 2026 NCAA Division I baseball season officially begins today, and the Dawgs are proud to celebrate 15 alumni who will compete at the highest level of collegiate baseball this spring.

From the West Coast to the Midwest and the East Coast, Dawgs alumni are once again making an impact across some of the top programs in the country — a powerful reflection of the organization’s long-standing commitment to elite player development. The Dawgs alumni currently in NCAA D1 Baseball are:

Ricardo Sanchez - Gonzaga University

Jacob Wrubleski - Gonzaga University

Michael Yusypchuk - Missouri State University

Austin Collins - University of Portland

Leo Cote - University of Portland

Will Labonte - University of Portland

Landon Kauffman - University of Portland

Declan Spooner - St. John’s University

Jimmy Dionne - Purdue University

Jacob Gillis - Ball State University

These 15 players are part of a growing Dawgs alumni network that now includes 55 former Dawgs Academy players currently playing college baseball across North America.

“The start of the NCAA season is always an exciting day for our organization,” said Dawgs President, Baseball Operations Tyler Hollick. “To see 15 former Dawgs competing at the Division I level — and 55 playing college baseball overall — speaks to the culture, coaching, and commitment our players bring every day. We take great pride in helping young athletes reach their goals, and we’ll be following these players closely all season long.”

The Dawgs’ development pipeline continues to produce results at every level of the game. In the 2025 MLB Draft, three Dawgs heard their names called:

Tim Piasentin – Toronto Blue Jays

Tyrelle Chadwick – Colorado Rockies

Max Poirier – Kansas City Royals

From collegiate success to professional opportunities, the Dawgs program remains committed to preparing players for the next step in their baseball journey.

As Opening Day arrives across NCAA Division I baseball, the entire Dawgs family will be watching and cheering on these 15 alumni as they begin their 2026 campaigns!
