The Dawgs got back to their winning ways by defeating the Red Sox 10-4 on Thursday night. Strong pitching and a potent offense helped the Dawgs create an insurmountable lead that Regina could not overcome. The Dawgs registered 10 hits and move to 24-7 on the season.
Nash Crowell (Reinhardt University, GA) sparked the offense, launching his 8th home run of the season, and led the team in hits finishing 3-4 with 3 RBI. Brendan Luther (Bellevue University, NE) and Conner Stewart (San Diego City College, CA) each had 2 hits and 1 RBI in the victory. Noah Geekie (Emporia State, KS) led the team scoring 3 runs while Aidan Rose (UBC) scored 2.
Logan Rumberg (George Mason University, VA) delivered a strong performance tossing 4.0 hitless innings and recording 9 strikeouts. Drew Hutchison (Chandler-GIlbert CC, AZ) earned the win and tossed 3 strikeouts in 2.0 innings of work. Relief efforts from Cade Herrmann (Western Illinois, IL) and Seth Thompson (North Dakota State, ND) shut the door on a potential comeback after Regina put up 4 runs in the 8th inning.
