The Dawgs continued their winning ways after last nights win against the Moose Jaw Miller Express as they followed it up tonight with a 12-6 win in Brooks over the Bombers. The Dawgs would record 16 hits in the game making it 2 games in a row of 15 or more hits. The Dawgs record improves to 28-9 as they sit atop the WCBL standings.

Trent Lenihan (UBC) would hit his 2nd home run on the season in the 8th inning and would go 4 for 5 tonight recording 6 RBI for Dawgs in the convincing win on Thursday night. Alejandro Cazorla (Bossier Parish CC, LA) would record his 20th RBI on the season after driving home 2 RBI while going 1 for 4.

Gavin Wuschke (Okanagan College, BC) was locked in tonight against the Bombers as he shut them down to 2 runs on 3 hits while striking out 4 of 20 batters faced on the night. The Dawgs bullpen would only need 3 relievers to close out the win for the Dawgs as they allowed only 4 hits and 4 runs in 4 innings of work.

The Dawgs will wrap up the quick 2 game trip in Brooks on July 14th at 7:05pm when they battle the Bombers at Elk Field. Up next is the WCBL All-Star game at Seamen Stadium on Saturday July 15 with the home run derby set for 5:00pm followed by the West vs. East Game at 7:05pm.
