The Dawgs continued their winning ways this afternoon as they defeated the Gulls 5-3, extending their winning streak to 4 games. The Dawgs put up 12 hits this afternoon and only made one error. The Dawgs now own a 30-9 record and sit atop the WCBL standings.

Ricky Sanchez (Barton College, KS) would go 2 for 3 this afternoon recording an RBI double in the 5th inning. Titus Dumitru (Linn-Benton CC, OR) would extend his hitting streak to 5 games going 2 for 4 scoring 1 RBI. Brendan Luther (Bellevue University, NE) would add 2 hits in 3 trips to the plate. Caleb Lumbard (Okanagan College) would record his 21st and 22nd hits on the season

Graham Brunner (Emporia State University, KS) got the start and tossed 5.2 innings allowing 1 run on 4 hits while striking out 5 this afternoon. The Dawgs bullpen would only need 5 relievers to shut down the Gulls offense as they allowed only 4 hits and 2 runs in 3 innings of work.

The Dawgs welcome the Lethbridge Bulls to Seaman Stadium on Monday July 17th with first pitch scheduled for 7:05pm. The Dawgs will have 2 days off before they head down to Spitz Stadium to face the Lethbridge Bulls Thursday July 20th with first pitch set for 7:05pm.
