The Dawgs were defeated by the Lethbridge Bulls 4-1 on Monday night, halting their current win streak. The Dawgs put up 11 hits in the contest but could not get runners home. With the loss the Dawgs now have double-digit losses on the season and hold a record of 30-10, still good enough for first place in the west division.
Brendan Luther (Bellevue University, NE) led the team going 3-5 and had the lone RBI scoring Aidan Rose (UBC) on a single in the 7th inning. Logan Grant (Bellevue University, NE) had a multi-hit game going 2-4 at the dish with 2 singles. Alejandro Cazorla (University of Dayton, OH) also went 2-4 and had a double in tonight's contest.
Daniel Hutchison (Chandler-Gilbert CC, AZ) made his first start of the season and went 3.0 innings allowing 5 hits and 3 earned runs. Relief efforts from Jace Behnke (Chandler-Gilbert CC, AZ) and Brock Townsend (Bellevue University, NE) kept the Bulls offence in check as both pitchers had 2 strikeouts in 1.0 inning of work.
