The Dawgs would make quick work of the 2-game road trip sweeping the Swift Current 57’s tonight winning 13-2. The Dawgs win the season series 4-0 over Swift Current with their record now at 40-15 on the season. The Dawgs remain 1 game up on the Sylvan Lake Gulls for 1st place in the west with 2 games left in the regular season.

Elijah Hammill (University of Utah, UT) would launch his 2nd home run of the year, a grand slam in the 3rd inning finishing the night 2 for 6 with 4 RBI. Brendan Luther (Bellevue University, NE) extends his hitting streak to 15 games tonight going 1 for 3 with 2 RBI. Aidan Rose (UBC) would record his 16th RBI of the season tonight and finished the game 1-5. Nash Crowell (Reinhardt University, GA) would go 1 for 4 recording his team-leading 38th RBI. Trent Lenihan (UBC) would bring his season total to 21 RBI tonight going 1 for 4. Titus Dumitru (New Mexico State, NM) would get his 30th RBI on the season tonight going 1 for 3 at the plate.

Gavin Wuschke (Okanagan College) would go 5 innings and earn his 3rd win of the season. Wuschke allowed no runs while giving up 8 hits and recorded 4 strikeouts. The Dawgs would utilize two pitchers out of the bullpen after Wuschke was replaced. Garrett Maloney (Campbellsville University, KY) would pitch 2 innings tonight striking out 4 and only allowing 2 hits. Daniel Hutchinson (Chandler-Gilbert CC, AZ) went the last 2 innings allowing 2 runs on 2 hits while striking out 5 batters.

The Dawgs have their final regular season road game in Lethbridge at Spitz Stadium as they take on the Bulls with first pitch set for 7:05 pm.
