The Dawgs would claw their way back in Medicine Hat against the Mavericks but fell just short losing game 2 of the WCBL Final 12-9. The Dawgs bats recorded 12 hits and had 4 errors on defense in the loss on Wednesday night. The Dawgs move to 5-1 in the playoffs as it all comes down to Game 3 to decide who takes home the WCBL Championship. 

Eric Hartman (Dawgs Academy) would hit his first home run of the playoffs tonight in the 9th inning scoring 3 RBI on the hit. Eric Machej (Dawgs Academy) would record 1 RBI tonight while going 1 for 2. Aidan Rose (UBC) would go 3 for 3 tonight scoring 1 RBI. Trent Lenihan (UBC) would record 1 RBI while finishing the night 1 for 5. Connor Crowson (University of Montevallo, AL) would score 1 RBI in his 5 trips to the plate with 1 hit recorded. 

Ryan McFarland (Campbellsville University, KS) would go 3 innings tonight allowing 6 runs on 3 hits while striking out 2 batters. The Dawgs would turn it to the bullpen and use 3 pitchers tonight allowing 6 runs on 7 hits.

Game 3 of the WCBL Final will be held on Thursday August 17th, back at Seaman Stadium in Okotoks between the Dawgs and Medicine Hat Mavericks with first pitch set for 7:05pm.
