Brooks, AB - Wednesday June 5th, 2024, Game Recap at Brooks Bombers

The Dawgs continued their momentum tonight improving to 8-0 on the season, stealing a tightly contested 12-11 victory over the Brooks Bombers.

Lou Anderson (Howard Community College) got the team off to a good start tonight, crushing a two-run home run in the 2nd to put the Dawgs on the board. Anderson would not be the only Dawgs player to go yard tonight as Connor Crowson (University of Montevallo) would go deep with a no-doubt home run in the 5th. Crowson extended his hitting streak to 7 games tonight after going 1-5.

The Dawgs bullpen showed their fierceness tonight, striking out 13 in 9 innings of work highlighted by Brody Forno (Oklahoma Wesleyan University) throwing 2.2 innings and striking out 5. Trent Warstler (Emporia State University) made the save tonight, helping ensure the Dawg's win streak stays alive.

The Dawgs hit the road on Friday, June 7th taking on the Lethbridge Bulls at Spitz Stadium. The Dawgs will return to beautiful Seaman Stadium on Sunday, June 9th to take on the Bulls again for our ‘Princess in the Park’ day.
