The Dawgs experienced their first loss of the season during tonight's away game against the Lethbridge Bulls with a final score of 4-12.

The team's dominance over the WCBL 2024 season, with first place in rankings and an 8-0 win streak was broken at Spitz Stadium. The Bulls now sit at 7-5 wins to losses.

After tonight, the Dawgs head to Sylvan Lake to take on the Gulls June 8 at 7:05 p.m. The Dawgs will be back home in Okotoks facing the Bulls again Sunday June 9.

Connor Crowson (Bossier Parish Community College) stood out offensively with a home run. Crowson continues to prove his reliability at bat with a total of 4 home runs for the season, so far. Jacob Wrubleski (Gonzaga University) also had a major presence in the game with two incredible hits earning him and the team two runs and one RBI.

On the mound, Troy Benko (Mesa Community College) had a great performance over the first three innings. Benko had 2 strikeouts and kept the Bulls at bay, tossing solid strikes. Closing out the night, Alex Dionne (Howard College) closed out the night and had one major strike out.

The Dawgs return to their home turf—Seaman Stadium Sunday June 9th, with first pitch at 2:05p.m. A hometown advantage and sold out stadium will serve as an energy boost for the Dawgs busy lineup next week, with games scheduled from June 11 to 16.
