Okotoks, AB - The Okotoks Dawgs were looking for redemption after taking their first loss of the season last Friday in Lethbridge. Today at Seaman Stadium they found it in the form of a 12-4 victory over the Lethbridge Bulls in front of over 5,000 roaring Dawgs fans for our ‘Princess in the Park” event. After securing this win, the Dawgs now sit at a 10-1 record in the early WCBL season.

The Dawgs lineup would show their power and placement abilities today highlighted by Tucker Zdunich (High River, AB). Zdunich would go 3-for-4 today with a hard-hit double and crushing a three-run home run in the seventh. Brendan Luther (Mississauga, ON) made his home game return for the 2024 season today and would excel after going 4-for-6 and scoring two RBIs. Kadyn Williams (Emporia State University) would also have a good showing today, putting the Dawgs on the board in the second with a two-RBI single. Finally, Ricardo Sanchez (Lamar University) continued to shine after going 2-for-3 with a solid line drive earning Sanchez a double.

Zane Morrison (Campbellsville University) would get his first win of the WCBL season today after throwing four innings and striking out two. Brody Forno (Okotoks, AB) alongside Ashton Luera (Oklahoma Wesleyan University) and Cade Herrmann (Bellevue University) would all throw scoreless innings with Herrmann and Forno striking out four in a combined two innings of work.

The Dawgs will be on the road when they take on the Edmonton Prospects on Tuesday, June 11th. They will then return to beautiful Seaman Stadium on Wednesday, June 12th to take on the Brooks Bombers in their fifth clash of the season. This upcoming Wednesday will also be ‘$10 Ticket Night’ where Dawgs fans can come enjoy the game for a sweet deal.
