Brooks, AB -  The Okotoks Dawgs defeated the Brooks Bombers tonight with a commanding 13-5 victory. 

With this win against the Bombers, the Dawgs now sit 39-14 with the WCBL postseason less than a week away.

We saw a pair of three-run home runs hit tonight, the first of which was crushed by Tucker Zdunich (High River, AB) in the third. Connor Crowson (Okotoks, AB) would follow suit in the sixth with a three-run shot of his own. Brendan Luther (Mississauga, ON) was also an offensive leader tonight, going 3-for-5 with two RBIs that included a hard-hit double. Finally, Ricky Sanchez (Lamar University) got multiple hits going 2-for-5 tonight.

Trent Warstler (Emporia State) got the nod tonight and had a rough start in the first, but would recover from this tossing three scoreless innings. Garrett Maloney (Campbellsville University) and Cam Stephens (Linn-Benton CC) would both step in and toss scoreless innings as well. Trey Mackwood (Calgary, AB) closed the night and would hold the Bombers scoreless in the ninth to finish the game.

The Dawgs return to beautiful Seaman Stadium tomorrow Saturday, August 3rd to take on the Brooks Bombers for our ‘Fan Appreciation Night’.
