The Okotoks Dawgs Baseball Club has officially announced a significant expansion of its state-of-the-art training facility, the Duvernay Fieldhouse. This ambitious project will provide Dawgs Academy players with additional top-tier resources, further solidifying the club's commitment to developing elite baseball talent.
The expansion is set to proceed in two phases, Phase 1 being an expansion of the Dawgs state of the art weight and training room, which is anticipated to be completed later this fall and Phase 2, an ambitious series of additional pitching and hitting lanes that will be designed to incorporate the latest in technology to promote peak athletic performance in the key baseball disciplines.
The new weight room addition will expand the current training area to three times its current size. This upgrade will allow players more space and additional equipment to enhance their strength and conditioning programs.
In addition to the weight room expansion, the Duvernay Fieldhouse will feature four new batting cages, each 80 feet long and 16 feet wide and a state of the art, Pitching Lab. These spacious cages will provide ample room for players to fine-tune their hitting mechanics, whether preparing for game day or working on specific skill development under the tutelage of the Dawgs Hitting Coaches over the off season.
With this expansion, the Okotoks Dawgs Baseball Club continues to raise the bar in Canadian baseball, offering their players and staff a world-class environment in which to thrive.
