Dawgs Drop One to the Brooks Bombers

The Dawgs lost a heartbreaker tonight in the 10th inning to the Brooks Bombers. The Dawgs looked strong throughout, but unfortunately, were unable to hold onto the lead in the 8th and 9th innings after some extreme winds came through Okotoks. Offensively, the Dawgs scored 8 runs off of 13 hits and 6 walks.
Offensively tonight, Steven Elsner (Bellevue University) was the standout performer for the Dawgs. Elsner went 3 for 5 with 3 RBIs, and 1 run scored in addition to his solo home run that got out in quite a hurry! Kadyn Williams (Pittsburg State University) also had a great night at the plate, going 2 for 4 with 1 RBI and 1 walk.
From the bump tonight, Austin Eaton (Texas State University) got his third start of the year, going a total of 5.0 innings, striking out 5. Following Eaton, there were appearances from Anderson Tordiffe (Clackamas Community College), Frank Flores (Colorado State Univeristy - Pueblo), Alex Oliver (Colorado State University - Pueblo), and Easton Corey (Linn Benton Community College).
Following tonight, the Dawgs hit the road for a two-game series in Swift Current. However, they will return home to face off against Brooks once again on Saturday, July 5th.
