Dawgs Hold On To Win VS Giants

Final Score: Dawgs 3, Giants 2

July 12

The Dawgs edged out the Fort McMurray Giants 3-2 on the road Saturday night. Okotoks jumped ahead with two runs in the third and added another in the eighth, holding off a late push from the Giants, who scored twice in the sixth. Despite being outhit 6-5, the Dawgs played a clean game defensively and made the most of their run-scoring opportunities, securing the narrow win.

At the plate, Barry Eiseman (Reinhardt University) led the way for the Dawgs with a 2-for-4 night that included two home runs and two runs scored. Zane Skansi (Campbellsville University) and Leo Cote (University Of Portland) each chipped in RBI singles, while Connor Crowson (Tennessee Tech University) added another hit to keep his average above .400.

On the mound, Anderson Tordiffe (Clackamas Community College) delivered a solid start, tossing 5.0 innings of two-hit ball without allowing an earned run. He struck out six and walked none. Ryan McFarland Alex Oliver (Colorado State University Pueblo) closed the door, recording the final five outs without allowing a run to earn the save.

Following this weekend's four game series in Fort McMurray, where the Dawgs have yet to play tomorrow, July 13, the Dawgs will return to play on Tuesday, July 15th right here at Seaman Stadium to face off against the Saskatoon Berries.
