Dawgs Sweep the Beavers

The Dawgs sweep the series against the visiting Weyburn Beavers this evening to put them at 17-8 on the season. The Dawgs' offence has been on fire lately, and that stayed true tonight as the Dawgs racked up 12 runs off 19 hits and 7 walks. Aden Munoz (Simpson Univeristy) played an integral role in tonight's win as he went 4 for 4 with 4 runs scored! Munoz was also unstoppable on the bases, constantly capitalizing and taking bases at every available opportunity. Starting pitcher Seth Gurr (University of Montevallo) had another incredible outing going 6.0 scoreless innings and striking out 2.

The Dawgs were unstoppable tonight at the plate with several standout performances. Zane Skansi (Campesville University) went 5 for 6 with 4 RBIs and 3 runs scored. Logan Grant (Bellevue University) finally made his 2025 debut with the Dawgs tonight and ensured Dawgs Nation knew he was back. Grant went 2 for 4 with 1 run scored and a walk. Barry Eiseman (Reinhardt University), who continues to stay atop the WCBL batting average leaderboard, continued his hot streak as he went 4 for 5 with 2 RBIs, 2 runs scored, and a walk. Brandon Paez (University of Utah) also contributed heavily to the win as he went 2 for 5 with 4 RBIs.

From the mound tonight, the win was awarded to Seth Gurr (University of Montevallo) as he delivered another quality start for the Dawgs. Chase Tucker (Campbellsville University) was the first to come in relief and threw a hitless and scoreless inning, recording 1 strikeout. Cade Langford (Southwest Baptist University) came in to close for the Dawgs, recording 2 strikeouts and putting up a zero on the board to end the game.

After an exciting weekend here at Seaman Stadium, the Dawgs hit the road to Lethbridge to face off against the Bulls for the 5th time this season!
