The Dawgs are on fire! They’ve just snagged another thrilling victory against the Bulls in Lethbridge, extending their winning streak to an impressive five games and bringing their season record to 19-8! This week has seen the Dawgs absolutely dominate the Bulls, amassing a jaw-dropping 49 runs since Thursday. This victory cements their spot at the top of the West leaderboard, positioning them perfectly as July approaches.

Tonight’s triumph was fueled by an outstanding start from Gavin Wuschke (Bellevue University), along with some spectacular hitting from standout players Steven Elsner (Bellevue University) and Zane Skansi (Campbellsville University).

On the offensive front, the Dawgs showcased their power with a whopping 16 hits! Steven Elsner lit up the scoreboard with a phenomenal 3-for-5 performance, launching two solo home runs. Meanwhile, Zane Skansi continued to shine, going 2 for 4 with an impressive 4 RBIs. His stellar performances over the past week have catapulted him to the top of every WCBL statistical leaderboard—batting average, home runs, and RBIs. He’s been a game-changer for the Dawgs, and we can’t wait to see what he does next!

Gavin Wuschke was simply unbeatable on the mound, delivering a masterclass performance by throwing 6.0 scoreless innings, allowing just 2 hits, and racking up 6 strikeouts. Anderson Tordiffe (Clackamas Community College) stepped in for relief, striking out 2 in his inning of work. Frank Flores (Colorado State University - Pueblo) made his mark too, pitching 1.0 inning with a strikeout and no runs allowed. And to wrap up the night, Easton Corey (Linn Benton Community College) cruised through a quick 3-up, 3-down inning.
