The Dawgs swept the Sylvan Lake Gulls on Saturday night in Sylvan Lake winning 7-1 The Dawgs made quick work of this round scoring a total of 17 runs, while giving up only 6 runs. The Dawgs have won 5 in a row dating back to the end of the regular season. The Dawgs now wait for their opponent for the WCBL championship as the Medicine Hat Mavericks and Moose Jaw Miller Express are heading to a 3rd and final game on Sunday in Moose Jaw.

Brendan Luther (Bellevue University, NE) hit a 3 run home run in the 2nd inning extending his hitting streak to 21 games tonight, Luther would finish the night 4 for 5 scoring 4 RBI. Alejandro Cazorla (Bossier Parrish CC, LA) would go 2 for 4 tonight scoring 1 RBI in the clinching win for the Dawgs. Caleb Lumbard (Okanagan College) would record 1 RBI tonight with a sacrifice fly in the 3rd inning.

Gavin Wuschke (Okanagan College) would go 5.2 innings tonight allowing 1 run on 3 hits while striking out 3 of 22 Gulls batters faced in the victory. The Dawgs would turn it to the bullpen and use 4 pitchers in the series-clinching win, allowing no runs but 2 hits in the win to seal the win for the Dawgs.
