Okotoks, AB -  The Okotoks Dawgs took on Fort McMurray tonight with the playoffs only one week away. The Dawgs came out hot against the Giants tonight with a 16-7 victory.

With this win against the Giants, the Dawgs now sit 37-14 in the WCBL season.

Brendan Luther (Mississauga, ON) was an offensive leader tonight going 4-for-6 with three RBIs. Logan Grant (Chestermere, AB) would also perform well, going 2-for-3 with two RBIs that included a hard-hit double. Finally, Jarrett Burney (Reinhardt University) went 2-for-3 tonight and caught the Giants pitcher off guard with a steal to home in the first.

Easton Corey (Linn-Benton CC) would step in to toss a scoreless inning after striking out the side in the eighth. Trey Mackwood (Calgary, AB) closed out the night and despite a rough start would strike out three of the Giants lineup to end the game.
