The Okotoks Dawgs have announced the signings of three returning players, adding a mix of pitching depth and offensive production.
Preston Tocheniuk, a freshman right-hander from Panola College, brings efficiency and command to the Dawgs’ pitching staff. In three appearances, including two starts, Tocheniuk logged 15 innings while posting a 1.80 ERA. He struck out 10 batters against just two walks, showcasing command and poise on the mound.
Joining him is Brady Baltus, a senior from Bellevue University, who provided reliability as a starter throughout the 2025 season. Baltus made eight appearances, all starts, and worked 38.2 innings. He finished the year with a 3.72 ERA, recording 23 strikeouts while issuing eight walks.
On the offensive side, the Dawgs add Leo Cote, a redshirt freshman from the University of Portland. Cote appeared in 17 games and hit .333, collecting three doubles and five home runs. He drove in 18 runs and scored 11 times, bringing proven power and run production to the lineup.
The trio will look to build upon their strong individual performances from 2025, as the Dawgs continue to build toward bringing a WCBL championship back to Okotoks.
