The Okotoks Dawgs are welcoming three new players ahead of the 2026 season with the additions of outfielder Aidan Dougherty, along with right-handed pitchers Logan Rumberg and Gabe Brabec.
Dougherty comes to Okotoks following a standout year at UCONN, bringing speed and versatility to the outfield. In 46 games during the 2025 season, he posted a .333 batting average, collecting 11 doubles, 2 home runs, 31 RBI, and 30 runs scored. On the bases, Dougherty added another dimension to his game with 11 stolen bases. Dougherty entered the transferred portal at the end of the 2025 season and has landed at the University of Washington.
Rumberg brings collegiate experience and swing-and-miss stuff to the Dawgs’ pitching staff. During the 2025 season at George Mason University, the right-hander made 18 appearances, including 7 starts, posting a 5–3 record over 44.1 innings pitched. He struck out 56 batters while recording a 4.87 ERA, demonstrating an ability to miss bats in both starting and relief roles.
On the mound, Brabec adds depth and experience to the Dawgs’ pitching staff. The right-hander pitched in 12 games, including 7 starts, for Gonzaga University in 2025. Over 40.1 innings, he allowed 37 hits, held opposing hitters to a .243 batting average, and recorded 33 strikeouts, showing the ability to compete effectively in multiple roles.
With the arrival of Dougherty, Rumberg and Brabec, the Dawgs continue to build toward the 2026 season, adding proven collegiate performers on both sides of the ball as they prepare for another run at the WCBL Championship in 2026.
