The Okotoks Dawgs have added a dynamic mix of speed, athleticism, and pitching depth with the signings of outfielders Ayden Crouse and Cal Gates, along with right-hander Dalton Hoffart, ahead of the upcoming season.
Crouse arrives in Okotoks as an impact bat and elite base-running threat out of Indiana University. The redshirt junior made a name for himself at the junior college level, hitting an impressive .391 with 56 stolen bases in 2025, earning NJCAA All-American honorable mention. Known for his speed and defensive versatility, Crouse brings a game-changing presence to the Dawgs’ outfield and lineup.
Joining him is fellow Hoosier Gates, a promising young outfielder and one of Indiana’s top freshman talents. A decorated high school standout, Gates hit .421 over his prep career while earning all-state recognition and multiple all-conference honors. His combination of contact ability and athleticism gives the Dawgs another versatile option in the outfield.
On the mound, Hoffart adds depth to the Dawgs’ pitching staff. The right-hander from Hill College is expected to bolster the rotation with his developing arsenal and ability to compete in high leverage situations.
With the additions of Crouse, Gates, and Hoffart, the Dawgs continue to build a roster centered on speed, athleticism, and pitching strength—key ingredients as the club looks to make a run at the WCBL Championship in 2026.
