The Okotoks Dawgs came up short against the Sylvan Lake Gulls on Tuesday, August 11, falling 7-2 at Seaman Stadium. A crowd of 3,411 fans came out to support the Dawgs as they opened the West Finals at home and battled until the final out.

Logan Rumberg (George Mason University) opened the game on the mound for the Dawgs, pitching six innings before Jack Bello (Okotoks Dawgs Academy) took over in relief. Bello closed the game with 2.2 scoreless innings, allowing just one hit and striking out two.

Cal Gates (Indiana University) led the Dawgs’ offensive effort, going three-for-four with a double, an RBI, and a stolen base.
