Dawgs alumnus Tristan Peters has earned a place on MLB Pipeline’s 2026 All-Rookie First Team following a standout season with the Chicago White Sox.

For Dawgs fans, it’s another reason to celebrate a player whose journey once brought him to Seaman Stadium—and whose accomplishments now reach baseball’s biggest stage.

The 26-year-old outfielder finished the regular season with a .265 batting average, .337 on-base percentage and .437 slugging percentage, producing a .774 OPS across 156 games. Peters collected 116 hits, including 31 doubles, four triples and 12 home runs, while adding 56 RBIs, 63 runs scored and eight stolen bases. His contributions extended across the outfield, with appearances in centre, left and right field.

It was a season filled with firsts. Peters earned his first American League All-Star selection and represented Chicago at the midsummer showcase in Philadelphia.

Just days earlier, he delivered one of the year’s signature performances: a cycle against the Athletics on July 10. Cycle highlight Peters went 4-for-4 with four RBIs and two runs scored in Chicago’s 14-1 victory—the franchise’s first cycle since 2017.

His momentum continued into August. Peters hit .320 with a .414 on-base percentage and .640 slugging percentage that month, recording six home runs, six doubles and 14 RBIs. Monthly statistics He homered in five consecutive games, matching the White Sox franchise record. MLB report That performance earned him American League Rookie of the Month honours.

October brought another milestone: his first MLB postseason appearance. Chicago swept Houston in the American League Wild Card Series to advance to the Division Series. For the Dawgs community, his success carries a familiar connection. Peters developed through the Dawgs Academy before starring for Okotoks’ summer collegiate club. In 2019, he batted .396 and established a WCBL single-season record with 90 hits, earning the league’s batting title and Rookie of the Year honours. He then helped the Dawgs capture the WCBL championship and was named Playoff MVP.

Those achievements helped launch a professional journey that included his selection by Milwaukee in the seventh round of the 2021 MLB Draft and his major league debut with Tampa Bay in August 2025. Chicago acquired him that December, opening the door to a memorable 2026 campaign.

From a championship summer in Okotoks to All-Star recognition and October baseball, Peters has given Dawgs fans plenty to cheer about.

The Okotoks Dawgs congratulate Tristan on an outstanding season and his All-Rookie First Team selection. Once a Dawg, always a Dawg!
