The pitching staff just got a serious boost for the Okotoks Dawgs.
The Dawgs announced the signings of right-handers Grady Keljo from University of Portland and Tyson Willis out of George Mason University, adding two experienced arms to an already competitive roster heading into the summer season. Both pitchers arrive from strong NCAA programs and are expected to make an immediate impact in the Western Canadian Baseball League this summer.
The Dawgs also strengthened their lineup with the additions of infielder Jeremy Kuiper, recently committed to University of Louisiana Lafayette, and outfielder Ben Lovering from Chandler-Gilbert Community College.
Kuiper gives the Dawgs added versatility in the infield, while Lovering’s athleticism in the outfield could provide another spark offensively and defensively. Together, the four signings continue the Dawgs’ trend of recruiting high-level collegiate talent from across North America.
With Opening Weekend approaching at Seaman Stadium, the Dawgs appear focused on building a roster capable of making another run at the WCBL Championship.
