Dawgs Keep Adding Depth with Latest Signings
The Okotoks Dawgs have added depth in some key areas with the three latest player signings. Please welcome Jace Behnke (RHP, Chandler-Gilbert CC), Nash Crowell (INF, Reinhardt University) and Logan Grant (Catcher, Bellevue University).
Jace Behnke – RHP, Chandler-Gilbert Community College
Featuring a fastball that lives in the low 90’s, Behnke works out of the backend of the bullpen for the ‘Yotes. The freshman has made 7 appearances while logging 7.2 innings pitched and has racked up 15 strikeouts with a 2.35 ERA. Look for Behnke to pitch in a similar role with the Dawgs this summer.

A product of the Dawgs Academy, Crowell returns home from Reinhardt University in Waleska, GA. So far in his first year with the Eagles, Crowell is hitting .380 with 6 doubles, 6 home runs and 14 RBI in 14 games played. Welcome home, Nash!
Logan Grant – Catcher, Bellevue University
Grant is a native of Chestermere, Alberta and graduated from the Dawgs Academy in 2020. Currently, Grant plays for Dawgs manager, Mitch Schmidt, at Bellevue University and has gotten off to a solid start for the Bruins in 2023. In 16 games played, Grant is hitting .351 with 2 doubles, 1 home run and 17 RBI. Welcome home, Logan!
