The Okotoks Dawgs defeated the Energy City Cactus Rats 12-7 on Tuesday, August 4 in a high-scoring matchup at Seaman Stadium. A crowd of 3588 fans watched the Dawgs collect 10 hits in the victory.

The Dawgs received contributions throughout the lineup, highlighted by Jayden Lusk (Vernon College), who went 2-for-3 at the plate with two RBI, two runs scored and two walks. Jordan Kievman (Wright State University) continued his strong stretch at the plate, going 3-for-5 with a double, two RBI and two runs scored. Matt Evans (Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi) also added two RBI, going 2-for-4 with a stolen base, a walk and one run scored.

The Dawgs' bullpen delivered a strong performance to keep the Cactus Rats' bats in check, with Evan Lehnert (Linn-Benton Community College), Matthew Tran (Dawgs Academy), Carson Hindmarsh (College of the Sequoias), Wyatt Sadlier (North Central Community College) and Brody Burnette (Bellevue University), combining for nine strikeouts and allowing just one run.

The Dawgs will host the Cactus Rats for their final regular season matchup on Wednesday, August 5 at 7:05 p.m. before beginning their playoff run against the same opponent on Friday, August 7 at Seaman Stadium.
